I just wanted to show everyone that I'm editing this month. These are the two manuscripts that I am editing. Blood Tribute and Blood Affliction. Books 2 and 3, respectively. It's certainly an arduous process, but slow and steady, right? I will update as I go. BT has two chapters edited, getting ready for 3. And BA has three chapters edited, getting ready for 4. Thank you, so much for being here for this journey.

The Black Dagger Brotherhood - J R Ward

So, I have discovered a book series that has stolen my heart. The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J R Ward. I've only read three of the books so far, but gods. The stories are captivating. Zsadist's story so far is the most heart-wrenching. And I just love him the most right now. His hard ass demeaner covering up the broken little boy that is underneath. There's so much that happened to him. Including, but not limited to, being kidnapped at seven months old.

The dynamic between the brothers is amazing. They get along better than most full-blooded siblings. Found/thrown together family can be like that. And it works very well for this group of males. Of course, they have their disagreements, but at the same time, they would die for each other. And not just because of the brotherhood oath.

They each have their own abilities and powers. I have yet to discover them all, and I'm excited to find them out as I go. Needless to say. They are all five-star reads for me so far. And I can't wait to continue my journey with the BDB.

The Process That I Use

Hello, My Lovelies!

I just wanted to talk about the process that I use for writing my books. There literally isn't much to it.

Step 1: Handwrite everything. From beginning to end. I don't plan; I'm a pantser. And that I'm happy with it. Mostly because I don't have to say this scene goes here. The scenes fall where they need to for me. Sometimes, I might write down ideas, but it's not a full-on plan; it's more of a brainstorm.

Step 2: The second step is, I take my handwritten manuscript and type it into Reedsy. Making my first set of edits at this point. Possibly looking for plot holes and inconsistencies.

Step 3: I have Reedsy typeset the manuscript, and download a epub version and a paperback/hardback version.

Step 4: I take the paperback version of the typesetting and upload it to Lulu.com. I have it printed in a coil-bound paperback.

Step 5: When I get this copy in the mail, I take a red pen and edit the shit out of that thing.

Step 6: I then go back into Reedsy and take the edits from the coil-bound I've edited and "import" those edits into the Reedsy copy online.

Step 7: I then re-typeset the digital manuscript and download the appropriate digital copies for paperbacks to be printed at a later date.

It's not that much of a process, really. And I should probably have more steps to talk about, but these are the major ones. And I love doing it this way. I have two new books in mind, but I'm also re-editing the first three books of the Cote and Daschin Series. I feel like I can be better than I was the first time around. And I'm glad I'm doing it. And I just want to get them back out into the world.
